About the Role
The Heart Center at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta is recruiting a congenital cardiologist for diagnostic and interventional catheterization. The physician would be a member of the Emory University School of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics at the Assistant or Associate Professor level and would be employed directly by Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Cardiology. This is a full-time position; night, weekend, and holiday call will be as assigned by physician schedule.
Clinical Responsibilities
- Primarily service time in the cardiac catheterization lab
- Contributing to the procedural call burden
- Deliver the highest quality cardiology services to patients, their families, and associated partners
Teaching & Scholarly Activity
- Provide excellent teaching and mentoring skills as part of the large pediatric cardiology training program
- Participation in local/national conferences to promote further education
- Production of scholarly work
Qualifications
- Board Certified (or eligible) in Pediatric Cardiology and required to remain Board Certified throughout employment
- Experience and expertise with all types of diagnostic and catheter-based cardiovascular interventions
- Ideal candidate should have between 2-7 years of experience in interventional cardiology, though candidates of other levels of experience will be considered
Work Location
Position tasks are required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location; working remote is not an option. Emory reserves the right to change this status with notice to employee.
