Summary

This position reports to the General Counsel of the Firm and supports critical ethics and risk management operations of the firm. The incumbent conducts conflicts analysis for new hires and new business in addition to supporting various legal compliance and professional responsibility activities conducted by Firm Counsel (General Counsel and Assistant General Counsels).

Essential Functions

  • Conflicts Clearing (60%): Analyzes new hire and new business conflicts search results and works with lawyers and staff to resolve potential conflicts.

  • Conflict Waiver and Ethical Wall Management (20%): Drafts conflict waivers and ethical walls. Maintains files of conflict waivers and ethical walls.

  • Firm Counsel Support (15%): Supports the legal compliance activities led by Firm Counsel. Conducts research and reports on ethics and risk management topics as requested.

  • Other duties as necessary or assigned by General Counsel to the Firm.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

  • This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
