Responsibilities
- Review conflicts reports and summarize key issues requiring further action
- Analyze and resolve conflicts of interest in accordance with applicable professional responsibility rules and internal policies
- Clearly outline required actions for requesting and impacted partners, with escalation to firm counsel when appropriate
- Draft and revise conflict waiver language in collaboration with attorneys and firm counsel
- Oversee and coordinate conflicts clearance for lateral partner and associate hires
Qualifications & Requirements
- J.D. from an accredited law school and an active Illinois bar license required
- 4–5 years of experience in conflicts, risk management, or compliance within a mid-to-large law firm
- Strong working knowledge of professional responsibility rules (e.g., ABA Model Rules, relevant U.S. state and federal regulations, and international ethics standards)
- Experience reviewing conflicts reports involving corporate structures, affiliated entities, and prior representations
- Proficiency with conflicts software (e.g., Intapp) and research tools (e.g., D&B, Capital IQ)
