Conflicts Attorney
About the role
Cox, Castle & Nicholson LLP is seeking a J.D. to work with attorneys, other conflicts department staff, and the Firm’s General Counsel to help identify, evaluate, and resolve ethical and business conflict issues.
Responsibilities
- Conducting comprehensive research of relevant parties to identify or rule out potential conflicts of interest
- Reviewing and analyzing conflict reports to provide concise evaluations of potential conflict issues along with recognized steps for resolution
- Serving as an escalation point for Conflicts Analysts and coordinating with them on conflict issues through to resolution
- Researching, analyzing, and drafting conflict waivers, engagement letters, and ethical wall memoranda to ensure potential conflicts are addressed and resolved
- Collaborate with responsible attorneys and the Firm’s General Counsel to determine appropriate terms of engagement, and where needed, negotiate engagement, outside counsel guidelines and conflict waiver terms with clients
Qualifications
- Juris Doctorate required
- A minimum of two years conflicts experience

Salary to be based upon experience and education; we're targeting between $175,000-$230,000 annual
