Responsibilities
- Conduct conflict analysis and provide recommendations compliant with the Rules of Professional Conduct, applicable state ethics rules, and engagement terms and relevant client outside counsel guidelines.
- Communicate substantive findings and recommended next steps to Intake Attorneys and firm lawyers.
- Generate and process Intapp requests for new business matters and prepare related conflict reports.
- Perform corporate research to uncover affiliations, subsidiaries, and organizational structures.
- Regularly communicate with lawyers and assistants via email and telephone to obtain additional information required to conduct thorough and accurate conflict searches.
- Maintain thorough documentation of conflict resolution efforts and outcomes.
- Update internal records with relevant information (e.g., matter descriptions, contextual details) to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
- Prioritize incoming requests and collaborate with team members to manage workflow efficiently.
- Review workflow submissions for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with internal standards; monitor and track outstanding items to ensure timely resolution, and update party information and contextual details as needed to maintain accurate and current records.
- Contribute to the ongoing development and refinement of conflicts procedures, protocols, and workflows.
- Support the Supervisors and the team and assist with special projects as assigned.
- Advise Firm personnel on established conflicts and engagement policies and procedures.
- Provide training and mentorship to junior staff members and others, as necessary.
- Assume additional responsibilities as requested.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree required.
- 3+ years’ professional experience, including a minimum of one year in conflicts in a law firm setting.
- Understanding of the Rules of Professional Conduct, including conflict-of-interest provisions, or the ability to learn them quickly.
- Proficiency with the conflict database Intapp Open, Elite 3E, and iManage.
- Proficiency in the use of online corporate research databases, such as Capital IQ and LexisNexis.
- Demonstrated expertise in legal research and analysis.
- Strong planning, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, prioritize effectively, meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, and adapt to evolving firm strategies.
- High integrity, sound judgment, professionalism, and discretion with confidential information.

Physical Demands
- This position requires sitting or standing for long periods of time and the continuous operation of standard office equipment, such as computers, keyboards and phones.
- It also requires mobility sufficient to perform certain job functions, such as getting to photocopiers/scanners/fax machines, and regular bending, reaching, lifting, stooping and occasionally pulling, pushing and/or lifting items that weigh up to 25 pounds.
Pay Range
- Boston: $70,000-$90,000
- Washington, D.C.: $70,000-$85,000
- New York: $80,000-$95,000
