ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conflicts Analysis & Intake
- Perform conflict searches and assist in obtaining clearance of conflicts.
- Process new client and matter intake requests and update the conflicts database.
- Review submitted client and matter information for accuracy and completeness.
- Identify potential conflicts of interest using the Firm’s conflicts database and escalate issues as appropriate.
- Generate and analyze conflicts reports to support conflicts review and resolution.
- Lateral Hiring & Due Diligence
- Conduct conflicts searches for lateral attorney and non-legal hires.
- Support lateral hiring due diligence, including data intake and preparation of conflicts reports.
- Organize and categorize conflicts results to facilitate efficient review.
- Data Management & Compliance
- Maintain detailed records of conflicts searches, analyses, and resolutions for audit and documentation purposes.
- Ensure compliance with Firm policies and procedures related to conflicts of interest.
- Afford assistance in reviewing conflicts requests submitted through the conflicts system for accuracy and completeness.
- Collaboration & Communication
- Communicate effectively with attorneys, staff, and team members regarding conflicts inquiries and status updates.
- Escalate issues in a timely and appropriate manner.
- Collaborate with team members to support process improvements, best practices, and departmental initiatives.
- Provide support on team projects and other assignments as needed.
- High school diploma or GED required, bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience required; law firm experience in conflicts or business intake preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365, particularly Word and Outlook.
- Experience with document management systems (iManage preferred).
- Experience with Intapp, Capital IQ, or similar systems is a plus.
