Configuration Manager

About the role
The Configuration Manager maintains control of software baselines, manages version control processes, and ensures proper configuration management across all environments. This position implements and maintains CM processes aligned with SAFe and DevSecOps methodologies, supporting the team's ability to deliver frequent, reliable releases.
Responsibilities
- Maintain configuration management database and documentation
- Manage branching strategies and version control workflows
- Support CI/CD pipeline configuration and maintenance
- Track software versions and baselines across environments
- Coordinate release processes and version tagging
- Maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) repositories
- Support audit and compliance activities
- Document configuration changes and maintain change logs
- Assist with deployment automation
- Support transition activities and knowledge transfer
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of configuration management experience
- Bachelor's degree in relevant technical field (or equivalent substitution)
- Strong knowledge of Git and version control best practices
- Experience with CI/CD tools (GitLab, Jenkins, or similar)
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies
- Understanding of software development lifecycle
- Experience with configuration management tools and databases
- Knowledge of DoD configuration management requirements
- Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph
- Must be U.S. citizen
Pay
Salary range: $77,000–$163,000, based on qualifications, relevant experience, and demonstrated expertise.
