Configuration & Data Management Section Manager I
About the role
This position oversees the Configuration & Data Management (CDM) section, managing a team of direct reports. Key responsibilities include performance evaluations, recruiting, time card approvals, employee development, and project staffing.
Responsibilities
- Oversee program planning and execution of all CDM functions.
- Develop and review technical requirements for Program Configuration/Data Management Plans.
- Resolve configuration management issues to meet customer and company requirements.
- Communicate with customers and users regarding CDM activities.
- Ensure compliance with company and program policies and practices.
- Manage and coordinate CDM activities across multiple business areas.
- Direct software and hardware configuration management activities.
- Ensure all configuration management requirements are met and documented.
- Prepare configuration status reports for program reviews.
- Monitor and audit subcontractor configuration management activities.
- Review and integrate configuration management requirements into product definitions.
- Ensure cost and schedule performance of all program configuration management elements.
Requirements
Required: Broad technical knowledge and skills in CDM disciplines; ability to perform role of CDM Section Manager; overall responsibility for program planning and execution of CDM functions; review of technical requirements and development of Program Configuration/Data Management Plans; resolution of configuration management issues; communication skills; interpersonal skills; and experience in overseeing CDM disciplines.
Qualifications
Preferred: Experience in overseeing CDM disciplines, HCM, SCM, and DM; strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to interface, coordinate, and negotiate with company personnel, customers, and suppliers.

Pay
Full-time salary range: $132,962 - $226,035. Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including business considerations, local market conditions, internal equity, and candidate qualifications such as skills, education, and experience.
