Configuration Analyst

About the role

The configuration analyst supports and analyzes configuration management processes to ensure they are maintained, audited, and improved. This includes creating and maintaining configuration management plans and procedures, conducting configuration audits, monitoring trouble reports and change requests, selecting tools to automate the change control process, and providing status accounting support.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain configuration management plans and procedures
• Perform and maintain configuration management activities for Configuration Items
• Conduct configuration audits and monitor trouble reports and change requests
• Evaluate and select tools to automate the change control process
• Provide status accounting support
• Establish, operate, and maintain program documentation support libraries
• Aid in the evaluation, definition, standardization, and tracking of data elements
• Facilitate working groups to establish central repository requirements for data storage, protection, and retrieval
• Create and populate data dictionaries
• Offer full-range data mapping, validation, and documentation support

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical field is required
• At least 3 years of relevant experience is required
• 7+ years of experience is desired

• Any combination of education/experience may be substituted for job requirements at the recommendation of the hiring manager and approval of the COO or higher.
