Position Overview The Preservation Material Applicator is a key field role responsible for applying pavement preservation materials safely, efficiently, and to high-quality standards. This position plays an essential role in ensuring project success by maintaining proper application techniques, supporting safe work zones, and contributing to overall crew productivity. Key Responsibilities Material Application & Quality Apply sealcoat, slurry, and other preservation materials using appropriate tools and techniquesEnsure consistent coverage, proper thickness, and high-quality applicationMonitor material conditions and adjust application methods as neededPerform surface preparation tasks, including cleaning, edging, and minor repairs Equipment & Worksite Operations Conduct routine equipment checks and basic maintenance to ensure proper operationAssist with loading, unloading, and handling materials, tools, and equipmentMaintain clean, organized, and safe job sites at the end of each shift Safety & Compliance Maintain safe work zones in accordance with traffic control plansFollow all flagging procedures and safety protocols to protect crew members and the publicWear and maintain required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all timesAdhere to all company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements Team Collaboration Communicate effectively with crew members, equipment operators, and supervisorsSupport team operations and assist with additional tasks as neededAdapt to changing job site conditions and priorities What Success Looks Like Success in this role is typically demonstrated by: Consistent, high-quality application of materials meeting project specificationsSafe and compliant work practices in all job site conditionsReliable attendance, teamwork, and contribution to crew productivityProper care and use of equipment and materialsMaintaining clean and organized work environments Work Environment Field-based role in active construction and roadway environmentsPhysically demanding work requiring standing, lifting, and working outdoorsTeam-oriented crew environment focused on safety and productivity Equal Opportunity Employer ViaSun Corporation is an Equal Opportunity Employer and makes employment decisions without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other protected classification under applicable law.
