About the role
GEI is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to support a dam reconstruction project in Hamilton, Illinois / Keokuk, Iowa for 2026 and 2027. The position involves leading construction inspection teams, coordinating with design teams, third-party testing agencies, and contractors, and supporting design and office staff.
Responsibilities
- Lead construction inspection teams
- Cookinate with multi-disciplinary design teams
- Cookinate with third-party testing agencies
- Cookinate with third-party contractors
- Support design teams with constructability reviews
- Support office staff with deliverables production and review
Requirements
- High School Diploma required, AS degree in Engineering Technology, BS in Construction Management, or related field highly preferred
- Previous experience in construction inspection and testing capacity with experience in soils, concrete, and bituminous paving
- Previously certified from ACI in soil or concrete testing
- Previous Resident Engineering Experience is a plus
- Excellent organizational skills and valid driver’s license required
- Willingness to travel for both short and long term assignments
