Concrete Project Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Review and interpret contract documents, plans, and specifications to support project execution
• Aid in project planning, scheduling, and coordination of concrete operations
• Prepare, track, and manage submittals, RFIs (Requests for Information), and project documentation
• Support procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractors
• Collaborate with field crews to ensure work aligns with design and quality standards
• Aid in developing and utilizing 3D models of concrete structures for planning and coordination
• Maintain and update project schedules
• Monitor project progress and identify potential issues or delays
• Maintain strong communication with project stakeholders, including clients, engineers, and suppliers

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and details
• Understanding of concrete construction methods, sequencing, and best practices
• Experience with submittals, RFIs, and procurement processes
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Proficiency in construction software and 3D modeling tools (e.g., Revit, Navisworks, or similar)
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
• Previous experience in concrete construction or commercial construction projects
• Familiarity with scheduling software (Primavera P6, Planera, Microsoft Project, etc.)
• Experience with 3D modelling software: Tekla, revit, civil 3d
