About the role
The Concrete Finisher ensures the proper placement, leveling, finishing, and curing of concrete for large structures while adhering to company safety standards and protocols.
Responsibilities
- Place, level, and finish concrete surfaces.
- Operate finishing tools including screeds, floats, and trowels.
- Ensure proper curing and surface finish standards.
- Work closely with the foreman and carpenters during placement operations.
- Read, interpret, and execute plans, specifications, and layout with direction from Foremen and Superintendents.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in heavy civil, roadway, or structural concrete construction.
- At least 3 years of experience with concrete finishing.
- Ability to work in a team environment and follow safety procedures and jobsite instructions.
- Reliable transportation and ability to work on active construction sites.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working on DOT or infrastructure projects.
