Concrete Finisher

Responsibilities

• Set up and prepare concrete forms for pouring, ensuring proper alignment and positioning.
• Pour and spread concrete using shovels, rakes, and other hand tools, ensuring even distribution and proper consolidation.
• Finish concrete surfaces using various techniques, such as troweling, floating, and brooming, to achieve the desired texture and appearance.
• Create control joints and expansion joints in concrete surfaces using hand tools or saws, following project specifications.
• Repair and patch damaged or defective concrete surfaces as needed, using appropriate materials and techniques.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas and equipment.
• Operate power trowels, edgers, and other finishing equipment safely and effectively.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a concrete finisher in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of concrete materials, techniques, and tools used in finishing concrete surfaces.
• Ability to read and interpret project plans, blueprints, and specifications.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
• Physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.
