Key Responsibilities
- Form Setup and Finishing: Set, align, and position construction forms or molds to achieve the required pitch and depth. Form and finish curbs, sidewalks, and other concrete structures.
- Inspection and Quality Control: Inspect forms and complete work to ensure proper construction and installation standards are met.
- Concrete Spreading and Leveling: Use tools such as rakes, shovels, trowels, screeds, and floats to spread, level, and smooth concrete.
- Curing and Environmental Monitoring: Monitor environmental factors, like wind and temperature, to ensure proper concrete curing.
- Joint Molding and Edge Finishing: Shape expansion joints and edges using tools like edging tools, jointers, and straightedges.
- Signal Communication: Direct truck drivers and equipment operators to position equipment correctly for efficient concrete pouring.
- Surface Treatment and Waterproofing: Apply hardening and sealing compounds to enhance and protect concrete surfaces.
- Surface Refinement and Repair: Chip, scrape, grind, and smooth rough spots on concrete with tools and repair damaged concrete areas.
- Fixture Installation: Install anchor bolts, steel plates, and door sills in freshly poured concrete.
- Chemical and Surface Preparation: Clean surfaces with muriatic acid, rinse as necessary, and mix substances needed for specific tasks.
Pre-employment Requirements
- Satisfactory Pre-employment drug screening
- Provide US work authorization documents for I-9 form
- MVR satisfying Company Fleet Vehicle Policy requirements
- Satisfactory Criminal History Check (if required by customer)
- Provide a Valid Driver’s License
Requirements
- Ability to perform heavy physical labor and work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools for concrete finishing and repair
- Strong attention to safety practices and detail
- Willingness to travel and work varying shifts based on project needs and weather
- Must be a team player with a reliable and professional work ethic
- Must have 3 years of experience in concrete finishing
- Must be 18 years of age or older

Location of the Job: On the road, primarily across Kentucky, West Virginia, and Ohio.
