Blythe Development, headquartered in Charlotte, NC, is a licensed general contractor specializing in site work, road construction, and golf course construction in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia. About the role
A Concrete Finisher performs tasks involving strenuous physical labor on highway and heavy construction projects. Responsibilities include operating hand and power tools, cleaning and preparing sites, setting forms, spreading, leveling, and smoothing concrete. The role also involves maintaining a clean and secure job site, ensuring proper safety and incident reporting procedures, and escalating any issues to a supervisor.
Requirements
- Regularly works near moving machinery/tools, requiring good manual dexterity and multi-limb coordination
- Ability to move quickly and maintain excellent stamina
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, or carry objects over 50 lbs., using legs, hips, shoulders, abdominal, and lower back muscles without fatigue
- Able to stand and/or walk for long periods and climb ladders
- Experience setting string line for concrete
