About the role
BCI Construction, Inc. is seeking a Concrete Finisher to join our growing team and work in central Minnesota. Headquartered out of Sauk Rapids, MN. BCI specializes in Commercial, Medical, and Institutional Construction.
Responsibilities
- Comply with BCI site safety first and foremost
- Collaborate with Field Leadership and subcontractors to understand daily construction activities and assignments, to lead crews to execute construction goals throughout projects
- Receive direction from concrete foreman, while training & mentoring those working with you
- Prepare surfaces for concrete work – i.e. final grading
- Concrete layout activities. Establish elevations from given benchmarks to provide top of wall, top of column, top of slab, etc
- Forming & fine grading of flatwork, sub-grade
- Forming & assembly of footing / foundation forms
- Pour & Finish to project specific specifications – Flatwork & Foundations
- Understand plans, specifications. Ensure specifications and regulations outlined in architectural and engineering plans are followed
- Perform and implement project specific Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QAQC) practices to ensure projects are delivered project specifications and of quality craftsmanship
- Supplemental work will consist of light carpentry and selective demolition
- Verify all materials reflect project specific approved submittals along with ensuring design drawings and shop drawings coincide prior to installation
Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or GED
- 5+ years of experience with Commercial Concrete
- OSHA 30 or OSHA 10 preferred
- Valid CDL License preferred
- Procore Experience preferred
- Total Station Experience preferred
- ACI Certification preferred
- ADA Certification preferred

Pay
$28 per hour and up, depending on experience
Schedule
Working hours range, depending on the project, but typically start at 6:00am or 7:00am. A typical work week is Monday through Friday but may vary depending on current projects. On “pour days” your end time will fluctuate.
