Concrete/Civil Estimator

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Concrete/Civil Estimator with a strong background in commercial concrete and civil or water-treatment work who also brings prior Project Management experience. This individual will prepare accurate cost estimates, evaluate project scopes, and assist in project planning and execution. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and understands both the technical and operational aspects of construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for sitework, concrete, and civil projects.
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and proposals to determine scope and requirements.
• Solicit and review subcontractor and supplier quotes.
• Develop budgets and value-engineering options to optimize project costs.
• Transition successful bids to operations, supporting project kickoff and scheduling.
• Utilize prior project-management experience to provide input on constructability, sequencing, and cost impacts.
• Track bid results and maintain relationships with clients and trade partners.

Requirements

• 5 years of commercial construction experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering.
• Proficiency in Excel and Bluebeam.
• Experience with concrete, earthwork, or water-treatment projects (preferred).
• Prior experience managing construction projects from preconstruction through closeout (preferred).
