Essential Responsibilities and Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and project specifications.
- Construct, assemble, and dismantle wood and metal forms for concrete placement.
- Set forms for walls, columns, footings, and slabs using proper bracing and alignment techniques.
- Place embedded materials such as anchor bolts, rebar, or sleeves as required.
- Assist with placing and finishing concrete when needed.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and equipment such as saws, drills, levels, and hammers.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Work closely with laborers, finishers, and supervisors to meet project deadlines.
- Perform layout and measurement work to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Participate in jobsite cleanup and material handling.
Skills Or Experience Requirements
- Must hold a current Journeyman Carpenter license/certificate (if required by the applicable state, city or county).
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a journeyman carpenter or similar role.
- Display hand-to-eye coordination, mathematical skills, strength and stamina.
- Lift and/or pull 50lbs., climb ladders, work off ladders, man lifts or other equipment.
- Able to maintain a standing position for extended periods of time, fully squat, bend or kneel while wearing a tool belt.
- Able to work in a variety of weather conditions.
