Serenades at The Villages, an AgeWell Solvere Living managed senior living community in Oxford, FL, is seeking an experienced Weekend Concierge/Receptionist. We emphasize resident wellbeing and exceptional care, offering a premier work atmosphere in a beautiful community.
About the role
The Concierge serves as an ambassador for the Community, executing receptionist and administrative responsibilities to support the daily operations of our senior living community.
Responsibilities
- Provides a positive first impression to all who enter the Community.
- Answers and screens all incoming telephone calls in a courteous and professional manner, routing calls and taking messages as appropriate.
- Greets all visitors in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner; screens and requires visitors to “sign in” at reception desk.
- Notifies Residents of visitors and instructs visitors according to Resident’s instructions.
- Receives and processes incoming mail; accepts all outgoing mail/packages.
- Performs clerical duties including typing, copying, ordering, and maintaining inventory of office supplies.
- Maintains and updates Emergency Phone Number Log and emergency contact information for each Resident, keeping logs at the front desk.
- Assists managers with various clerical responsibilities; pages staff as necessary.
- Takes RSVPs for special functions and oversees sign-up for scheduled transportation.
- Hands out maintenance request forms and passes them to the Environmental Services Director.
- Performs other duties as necessary, including light housekeeping.
- Follows all emergency and safety procedures; communicates effectively with all staff.
- Immediately advises management of any changes in physical and/or mental health of Residents.
Requirements
- High School Diploma required.
- High degree of interpersonal skills and ability to relate to a variety of people and personalities.
- Considerable initiative and judgment; strong word-processing and clerical skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and extended shifts (up to 16 hours per day).
- Physically able to bend, reach, and sit for extended periods of time.
- May be exposed to infectious waste, diseases, conditions, etc., including HIV, AIDS, and Hepatitis B and C viruses.
- May encounter hostile or emotionally upset Residents due to mental status.
- Background, criminal, and drug tests required per HR policies; may be subject to random drug testing during employment.
- May have your picture taken and image used in social media or community advertising; may be video recorded by devices installed by families in residents’ apartments.
