Concessions Worker | Part-Time | Five Flags Center

Responsibilities

• Cash register sales: Taking orders, building orders, and completing transactions.
• Concessions operations: Maintaining stock and supply levels, communicating low-stock items to the Concessions Supervisor.
• Customer service: Listening and responding to customer requests or concerns.
• Workplace maintenance: Keeping a clean and organized workspace, including disposal of garbage and cleaning dishes.
• Serving beverages: Serving beverages to guests, including alcoholic beverages, responsibly.
• Compliance: Checking guest's ID to verify minimum age requirements for purchasing alcoholic beverages.
• Sanitation and safety: Maintaining sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Some experience in the food service industry preferred.
• Ability to learn to operate a cash register and corresponding system.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a friendly, positive attitude.
• Ability to work a flexible event schedule (nights, weekends, holidays).

About The Venue

The Five Flags Civic Center is located in downtown Dubuque. It has a capacity of 4,500 guests and can transform for various events such as concerts, sports tournaments, banquets, and general sessions. The theater seats 711 guests and the Bijou Room seats 135 guests.
