Concessions Stand Lead

Job Summary

- Team Leadership & Supervision: Supervise, train, and support volunteer group members, assigning tasks based on strengths and operational needs. Foster teamwork, motivation, and accountability to ensure efficient stand operations.

- Stand Operations Management: Oversee all concession stand operations to ensure efficiency, safety, and compliance with company and venue guidelines. Proactively identify and resolve operational challenges during events.

- Organization & Cleanliness: Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized concession stand at all times. Ensure products are properly stocked, displayed, and merchandised.

- Guest Experience: Deliver exceptional guest service by creating a welcoming atmosphere, answering questions, and addressing concerns promptly and professionally.

- Compliance & Safety: Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and Responsible Alcohol Service standards. Promote a safe working environment for team members and guests.

- Inventory & Product Management: Monitor inventory levels throughout events and coordinate timely restocking of products.

- Communication: Maintain clear and timely communication with supervisors regarding staffing needs, inventory issues, or operational concerns.

- Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned to support successful event operations.

Requirements

• Minimum of one year of leadership or supervisory experience with the ability to guide and motivate a team.
• Previous food service experience preferred, but not required.
• Age Requirement: Must be 21 years of age or older (required for alcohol service).
• Certifications: Willingness to complete Responsible Alcohol Service Certification & Food Handler's ServSafe Certification.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 20–45 pounds and remain active for the duration of events.
• Availability: Must be available to work all UW–Madison football home games and the majority of sporting events at the Kohl Center Arena.
