Concessions Bartender
Job Summary
Levy at American Airlines Center is seeking an energetic, customer-focused, and detail-oriented event-based part-time Bartender to join our Concessions team. This role is responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences by preparing and serving beverages efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of responsible alcohol service, safety, and hospitality.
Essential Responsibilities
- Prepare, mix, garnish, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to company recipes and service standards.
- Set up and stock bar stations with liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, glassware, ice, and supplies before, during, and after events.
- Maintain fresh fruit, juices, garnishes, and other perishable items to ensure product quality and presentation.
- Provide friendly, professional, and efficient service while building positive guest interactions.
- Verify guest identification and comply with all federal, state, local, and company alcohol service regulations.
- Recognize signs of intoxication and responsibly manage alcohol service in accordance with TABC guidelines.
- Accurately process cash, credit card, and mobile payment transactions while maintaining accountability for assigned cash banks and deposits.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar throughout each event.
- Wash and sanitize glassware, bar equipment, and workstations while following food safety and sanitation standards.
- Secure beverage inventory, equipment, cash drops, and bar areas at the conclusion of each event.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Minimum of one (3) year of bartending, food and beverage, hospitality, concessions, club, hotel, or restaurant experience preferred.
- Previous stadium, arena, entertainment venue, or high-volume bartending experience is a plus.
- Valid TABC Certification and ServSafe Food Handler Certification (or the ability to obtain within the required timeframe).
- Excellent customer service, communication, organization, and time management skills.
- Ability to accurately handle cash and operate a point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Ability to work independently and remain composed in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Flexible availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks throughout scheduled shifts.
