Responsibilities

  • Aid in supervising all part-time concessions workers & non-profit organizations.
  • Ensure proper setup of all concession locations prior to event doors.
  • Setup duties include verifying opening inventory, ensuring sanitation standards are met, and verifying each location is fully operational.
  • Provide oversight and operational expertise resulting in the smooth execution of events.
  • Work with marketing staff on concessions-related event promotions.
  • Oversee a large volume of inventory and manage high-volume sales.
  • Supervise and run all venue concessions operations before, during, and after the event, as needed.
  • Willing to cover or back up any open position to assure the location is fully operational.
  • Provide direction and oversight to all concessions staff as needed.
  • Ensure that all state & federal policies, procedures, and practices are adhered to, including compliance with alcohol distribution/service of food handling/sanitation guidelines and general safety policies and procedures.
  • Report any alcohol service or other compliance issues to Concessions Director & Concessions Manager immediately.
  • Assist with post-event evaluations, data compilation, tracking of monetary and product shortages, and generating reports.
  • Aid in the research and testing of new products and recipes; identify products to grow business.
  • Assist Concessions Manager in stocking, ordering, and tracking product.
  • Receive new inventory and inspect products for quality.
  • Obtain working knowledge of all existing concessions locations.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years’ experience working in a supervisory capacity in a food & beverage environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Ability to supervise the work of others.
  • Ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff, and guests in a clear, business-like, and respectful manner that focuses on generating a positive, enthusiastic, and cooperative work environment.
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
  • Possess a valid food handling certificate or alcohol service permit if required by state or federal regulations.
  • Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly.
  • Ability to calculate basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages) as they relate to POS cash/credit transactions, cash reconciliation, and product inventory.
