Job Summary
The COMSEC Responsible Officer (CRO) supports the Intelligence Sector of the AT&T Global Public Sector, ensuring compliance with all COMSEC material issued and managed. This role requires a minimum of 5 days per week office presence and is located in Cocoa, Florida.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all COMSEC material issued to subaccount complies with applicable provisions and guidelines.
- Coordinate and route all requests for the transfer/disposition of COMSEC material through program leads.
- Create and maintain a COMSEC file plan according to specified retention instructions and an unclassified material delivery point.
- Key cryptographic equipment according to the effective date of supporting keys, or upon equipment zeroization.
- Utilize Two-Person-Integrity procedures for handling Top Secret keys.
- Destroy COMSEC material as required and train COMSEC users on comprehensive, reoccurring training programs.
- Prepare and implement an emergency plan for COMSEC incidents and ensure all briefed personnel are trained on proper reporting procedures.
- Process transfer, destruction, and inventory paperwork in a timely manner and return paperwork to the program office.
- Publish a list of authorized access individuals for COMSEC material and validate the continuing need for all COMSEC material.
- Support detachment operations and maintenance personnel as necessary during new installs, circuit outages, and troubleshooting.
- Sign all reports as the Primary CRO, or the Alternate CRO if the Primary is absent.
- Become proficient on the Customer’s Assessment and Authorization tool to track and document RMF steps.
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience in IA Technology or a related field.
- Minimum DoD 8140 IAT Level 2 certification; Level 3 certification is acceptable.
- Proficiency in relevant certifications such as Certified Network Defender (CND), COMPTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CYSA+), COMPTIA Security+, GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC), Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional (GICSP), Implementing and Administering Cisco Solutions (CCNA), Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP).
- Ability to become proficient on the Customer’s Assessment and Authorization tool to track and document RMF steps.
