Computer Systems Analyst

This position requires an active U.S. Government Top Secret security clearance with a closed investigation date completed within the last 6 years or enrollment in the U.S. Government Continuous Evaluation (CE) Program. Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain access to Special Access Programs as a condition of continued employment. Relocation assistance is not available. Travel is required, approximately 10% of the time.

The Northrop Grumman CIDO Classified Solutions team is seeking a Computer Systems Analyst to support information system lifecycle activities at our Hollywood, MD location. This is a full-time, on-site position with no virtual or telecommute options due to the classified nature of the work.

Responsibilities

• Perform as a Computer Systems Analyst in support of classified government contracts.
• Exhibit strong communication skills, an energetic approach, and patience with customers while maintaining customer satisfaction according to defined objectives.
• Report task statuses for all recurring and non-recurring efforts in written and oral formats.
• Support cross-disciplinary troubleshooting to isolate issues between software, firmware, hardware, operating systems, networks, and applications.
• Collaborate with network, software, and system engineers, as well as PC desktop technicians, to support multi-user computer systems.
• Support multiple networks under limited direction, ensuring administration tasks comply with all security policies and procedures.
• Assist with installing, upgrading/patching, and troubleshooting systems in support of configuration management.
• Maintain backup and recovery services, manage Windows file systems and disk space, and oversee routine virus protection.
• Assist with the creation of Windows user and computer accounts, file permissions, and security access lists.
• Test new product releases to ensure compatibility and minimize user impact.
• Follow documented technical processes and procedures as assigned.
• Troubleshoot issues with vendors, evaluate vendor products, services, and suggestions.
• Adhere to strict Information Systems security guidelines in all cases.
• Maintain security audit and logging information on all classified networked and standalone computers as directed by the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM).
• Prepare documentation for input to Cybersecurity.
• Support environments using ticketing systems (ServiceNow, JIRA, etc.).
• Escalate issues requiring senior-level attention or involvement.
• Lift and move equipment up to 50 pounds.
• Work after hours and weekends as needed.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree with 0 years of experience; OR a Bachelor’s Degree with 2 years of relevant experience; OR an Associate’s Degree with 4 years of relevant experience; OR a High School Diploma (or equivalent) with 6 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of Windows Server Operating Systems and workstation support.
• Knowledge of Linux Server Operating Systems and workstation support.
• Current U.S. Government Top Secret security clearance (minimum) with a closed investigation date completed within the last 6 years, or enrollment in the U.S. Government Continuous Evaluation (CE) Program.
• Ability to obtain and maintain access to Special Access Programs within a reasonable timeframe following hire.
• Security+ CE certification.

Preferred Qualifications

• Windows Server Administration experience, including Active Directory and Group Policy.
• Knowledge of NISPOM Chapter 8, DCID 6/3-ICD 503, RMF, STIG, JAFAN, or JSIG information system environments.
• Understanding of basic networking.
• Experience with the creation and deployment of system images in a LAN up to an enterprise environment.
• Awareness of virtualization technologies.
• Knowledge of environmental monitoring tools (HBSS/Solar Winds/Splunk).
• Limited experience in scripting.
• Cross-platform awareness (e.g., Windows, Linux, Solaris, OSX, UNIX).
• Experience with Assessment & Authorization processes.

Pay

CIDO Primary Level Salary Range: $83,400.00 - $125,200.00. The salary range represents a general guideline; Northrop Grumman considers factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s experience, education, skills, and current market conditions when determining base salary offers. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions and allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
