Computer System Analyst
About the role
The Computer Systems Analyst(s) will be assigned to one of the numerous application development teams within the Division of Technology and Court Research. Acting as business analysts, the selected candidates will gather business requirements and perform analyses to determine system, data, legal, and reporting requirements. The analyst(s) will document the requirements, perform testing, communicate project deliverables, and document the final product.

- Work with multiple areas of the organization addressing operational, legal, and technical concerns.
- Experience with various testing methodologies (regression testing, automated testing, and comparing data outputs) is preferred.
- Knowledge of the business practices of civil, criminal, family, or Appellate courts and their case management systems is highly preferred.
Requirements
- Knowledge of the software development life cycle and technical writing experience is required.
- The ability to work with multiple areas of the organization is essential.
- Associate Computer Systems Analyst - One year of permanent, competitive class service in the Senior Computer Systems Analyst title; or bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and four (4) years of experience in computer programming or computer systems analysis; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Senior Computer Systems Analyst - One year of permanent, competitive class service in the Computer Systems Analyst title; or bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and three (3) years of experience in computer programming or computer systems analysis; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Computer Systems Analyst - One year of permanent, competitive class service in the Computer Systems Analyst Trainee or Computer Applications Programmer title; or bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and two (2) years of experience in computer programming or computer systems analysis; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Qualifications
Depending on the application development team assignment, knowledge of the business practices of civil, criminal, family, or Appellate courts and their case management systems will be highly preferred. Proficiency in SQL is preferred but not required.
Skills
Knowledge of the software development life cycle and technical writing experience is required. Pay
This position has potential to be eligible for one day of telecommuting per week. The salary range for this position is as follows:
- Associate Computer Systems Analyst: $99,490 + $4,920 location pay (NYC)
- Senior Computer Systems Analyst: $84,659 + $4,920 location pay (NYC)
- Computer Systems Analyst: $64,971 + $4,920 location pay (NYC)
Schedule
This position has potential to be eligible for one day of telecommuting per week.
