Computer Support Engineer
Supports day-to-day technical aspects of operational computer systems to identify diagnostic issues in enough detail to determine if the root cause is hardware or software related. Applies advanced skills or extensive technical expertise, full industry knowledge, and develops innovative solutions to complex problems. Works without considerable direction; mentors and may supervise team members.
Responsibilities
- Provides end-user support for a critical system for a DoW client
- Performs account administration and second-tier support to end users for either client or server applications or hardware
- Troubleshoots user problems to resolve operating difficulties and recommends system modifications to reduce user complications
- Analyzes, maintains, and reviews comprehensive documentation for all troubleshooting procedures
- Interacts professionally with clients and exhibits expertise in customer service
- Maintains currency and a high level of technical expertise
- Interacts with network services, software systems engineering, and applications development to restore services or identifies and corrects core problems
- Escalates more complex problems to senior levels
- Performs other duties, as assigned
Requirements
- Experience with customer and end-user support
- Ability to administer application and systems accounts
- Ability to troubleshoot and support web applications, software, and issues
- Ability to utilize IT service management (ITSM) tools
- Ability to use Windows, Unix, or Linux
- TS/SCI clearance
- HS diploma or GED
- Security+ Certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of the configuration of operating systems, including Windows, Linux, and UNIX
- Knowledge of modern computer systems, including client and server, LAN or WAN and network concepts
- Knowledge of modern network management and security monitoring concepts
- Bachelor's degree

Pay
The projected compensation range for this position is $69,400.00 to $158,000.00 (annualized USD). Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.

Work Model
- Remote: If this position is listed as remote, there may still be occasions when you are required to work in person at a Booz Allen or customer facility.
