About the role

We’re looking for someone to lead complex data exploration and analytics projects through experience with programming languages, operationalizing models, containerization, data architecture, and cloud computing platforms for Intelligence Community missions. As a computer scientist on our team, you’ll learn and apply innovative AI and machine learning methodologies to make a real-world impact. You’ll grow your skills in data science, AI, machine learning operationalization processes, and predictive modeling, and shape the future of analytics through patents, peer-reviewed papers, major conference presentations, and code submissions.

We’ll keep you sharp and moving forward in your career, with access to online courses, the latest tools and methods, and opportunities to publish or present at conferences. Whether you’re using AI to impact the climate, improving government efficiency, providing better services to the public, or improving veterans’ experiences, you’ll guide a team that serves critical missions from end to end.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience correlating complex technical findings into graphical, written, visual, and verbal narrative products
  • 3+ years of experience using data science programming languages such as Python or R
  • Experience with version control tools, including Git, GitLab, GitHub, or Bitbucket
  • Experience leveraging mathematics, statistics, and data mining algorithms to analyze performance, proactively identify quality risks, and drive continuous process improvement
  • Ability to continuously review, evaluate, and update technical documentation to ensure alignment with evolving governance and program standards
  • Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam
  • Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of experience with scientific techniques such as mathematics, statistics, information science, AI, machine learning, probability modeling, data mining, data engineering, or data warehousing, or 12+ years of experience with these scientific techniques in lieu of a degree

Clearance

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. TS/SCI clearance is required.

Pay

Salary is determined by various factors, including location, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD).

Schedule

  • Remote: If this position is listed as remote, there may still be occasions when you are required to work in person at a Booz Allen or customer facility.
  • Hybrid: If this position is listed as hybrid, you will be expected to work from a Booz Allen facility frequently, in alignment with leadership expectations and the needs of the role. You may also be required to work from or visit a customer facility.
  • Onsite: If this position is listed as onsite, work will primarily be performed at a Booz Allen office or customer facility, where employees will collaborate directly with colleagues and customers as required by the role.
