About the role
The Recent Graduates Program targets recent graduates from qualifying educational institutions or programs. Applicants must apply within 2 years of degree or certificate completion, except for veterans who can extend their eligibility to 6 years.
Responsibilities
- Receive both formal and on-the-job training to develop required knowledge and skills.
- Perform professional computer engineering/electronics engineering/computer science duties, coordinating with engineers or specialists.
- Plan, manage, and schedule programs or projects innovatively and originalistically.
- Make critical analyses and evaluations of engineering projects.
- Plan and conduct advanced work involving controversial or unknown data.
- Evaluate contractor requests and recommend their disposition.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Continued employment requires a background security investigation and favorable adjudication.
- This position is covered under DoD Manual 8140 and subject to future Cyber Workforce requirements.
- Drug testing designated position.
Qualifications
- Individuals with a qualifying Associates, Bachelor's, Master's, Professional, Doctorate, Vocational, or Technical degree or certificate from a qualifying educational institution within the last 2 years.
- Veterans with a qualifying degree or certificate from a qualifying educational institution within the last 6 years, due to military service obligations.
- Basic Requirement: Computer Scientist/1550 Bachelor's degree in computer science or a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science.
- Engineering Degree: Bachelor's degree in engineering with relevant coursework or a combination of education and experience.
- Experience: At least one year of experience applying principles, theories, practices, and techniques in engineering or physical science.
