Computer Science Tutor (Davis Learning Center)

About the role

TutorWSUstudents in Computer Science at the Davis Learning Center as part of the Learning Support department. Tutoring is done on a drop-in basis. Availability for drop-in shifts is determined by the tutor. We require and provide training in tutoring techniques. This is a pooled position. Applicants are selected from the pool as positions become available. After a period of time the pool will expire and applicants will be notified. Position located at Weber State University – Ogden, UT.

Responsibilities

• Tutor WSU students in Computer Science at the Davis Learning Center (drop‑in basis)
• Determine availability for drop‑in shifts
• Participate in required tutoring‑technique training (provided)
• Work as part of a pooled position; selected as openings arise
• Note that the applicant pool expires after a set period, after which applicants are notified

Requirements

• Must be a WSU student
• Must be able to tutor at the Davis campus
• Must have earned a B or better in the courses you propose to tutor
• A strong working knowledge of the subject matter you will be tutoring
