Computer Science Internship Summer 2027

About the role

The summer program offers a ten-week paid internship with AnaVation. This is a remote internship but the team will be local to Huntsville, AL, allowing for in-person collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Cyber Security techniques for offensive and defensive missions
• Create custom software applications; including, idea, development, and testing
• Leverage commercial cloud infrastructures (Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, etc.) for technology demonstrations
• Assess new application ideas
• Research competitor offerings
• Develop applications (coding, programming) as a team and demonstrate a prototype at the end of the internship to company leadership

Qualifications

• Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain a US Government security clearance
• Targeted graduation date of May 2028 with a Computer Science Major
• Excellent analytical and math skills, able to work in teams
• Minimum 3.0 grade point average
• Computer literacy; proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite
• Demonstrated work ethic, goal-oriented, and history of academic success
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, critical thinker, leader, team player, and self-managed learner

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with a group programming project
• Experience with Agile Processes especially Scrum
• Proficient in Java and Python
• Experience with Front End and/or Back End development
• Experience with NodeJS
• Experience with GIT
• Experience with Cloud Systems (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
• Developing software projects as a hobby
