Computer Networking Tutor

Job Responsibilities

The Computer Networking Tutor troubleshoots connectivity and configuration issues with virtualized Windows and Linux servers and workstations, subnetting, binary conversion, and MindTap for Microsoft Office applications.

Facilitates students completing tasks for those being tutored.

Requirements

• Completion of IST 188, IST 201, IST 252, and IST 221 preferred.
• A high school diploma and at least one year related experience.
• Students or recent graduates of our Information Technology or Computer Engineering Technology programs are encouraged to apply.
• A GPA of 2.5 or above is recommended.

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge or experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and other PC based productivity software.
• An understanding of common PC and network hardware.
• An advanced knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, OSI, Windows Server, VM, subnetting, and net addressing).
