Computer Network Defense Analyst (CNDA)
Responsibilities
Use information collected from a variety of sources (e.g., intrusion detection systems, firewalls, network traffic logs, and host system logs) to identify potential vulnerabilities, respond to cyber events that occur, and defend against events that might occur.
Help develop mitigations to strengthen network defenses and protect against attacks on network infrastructure devices or systems.
Support cyber defense operations through analysis, monitoring, investigation, and response activities across enterprise and operational environments.
Requirements
- Experience in computer or information systems design/development, programming, information/cyber/network security, vulnerability analysis, penetration testing, computer forensics, information assurance, and/or systems engineering.
- Experience using intrusion detection systems, firewalls, network traffic logs, host system logs, and related cyber defense resources to identify vulnerabilities and respond to cyber events.
- Experience developing mitigations to strengthen network defenses and protect infrastructure systems.
- Experience in network or system administration is required.
- Foreign language experience may be considered toward experience requirements where applicable.
Qualifications
- Level 1: Associate’s degree plus 4 years of relevant experience OR Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years of relevant experience
- Level 2: Associate’s degree plus 7 years of relevant experience OR Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of relevant experience
- Level 3: Associate’s degree plus 10 years of relevant experience OR Bachelor’s degree plus 8 years of relevant experience
- Level 4: Associate’s degree plus 13 years of relevant experience OR Bachelor’s degree plus 11 years of relevant experience
Skills
- Relevant certifications and specialized training may include, but are not limited to: JCAC graduate, CEH, CFRCySA+, GCIH, CND, SP

Pay
$49,996.80 - $290,004.00
