About the role

As a Computer Engineering Co-Op, you will focus on solutions that enhance quality, traceability, and automation across the facility. This position is a Spring 2027 Co-Op, running from January 2027 to May 2027, designed to provide an important and effective first step in the career of a future software engineer.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in monitoring SMT, AOI, SPI, and Selective solder equipment for performance issues.
  • Help engineers collect and analyze production data (defects, cycle times, yields).
  • Participate in Design of Experiments (DOE) and continuous improvement projects.
  • Develop or maintain small software tools/scripts (Python, C) for data collection, reporting, and automation.
  • Support integration of shop-floor equipment with IFS systems.
  • Assist in building dashboards for process monitoring, quality tracking, and engineering reporting.
  • Contribute to documentation updates.
  • Assist in developing test jigs, fixtures, or simple PCBs to aid production and validation.

Experience you’ll gain

Requirements

  • Sophomore, Junior, or Senior pursuing a degree in computer engineering.
  • 3.0 GPA or greater.
  • Experience with C#, Azure, Java, or Python.
  • Some experience with HTML, SQL, CSS, or JavaScript.
