About the role
As a Computer Engineering Co-Op, you will focus on solutions that enhance quality, traceability, and automation across the facility. This position is a Spring 2027 Co-Op, running from January 2027 to May 2027, designed to provide an important and effective first step in the career of a future software engineer.
Responsibilities
- Assist in monitoring SMT, AOI, SPI, and Selective solder equipment for performance issues.
- Help engineers collect and analyze production data (defects, cycle times, yields).
- Participate in Design of Experiments (DOE) and continuous improvement projects.
- Develop or maintain small software tools/scripts (Python, C) for data collection, reporting, and automation.
- Support integration of shop-floor equipment with IFS systems.
- Assist in building dashboards for process monitoring, quality tracking, and engineering reporting.
- Contribute to documentation updates.
- Assist in developing test jigs, fixtures, or simple PCBs to aid production and validation.

Requirements
- Sophomore, Junior, or Senior pursuing a degree in computer engineering.
- 3.0 GPA or greater.
- Experience with C#, Azure, Java, or Python.
- Some experience with HTML, SQL, CSS, or JavaScript.
