Computer Aided Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Review and update existing SolidWorks drawings based on manufacturing and production feedback
• Modify dimensions, tolerances, annotations, and BOMs
• Ensure consistency between 3D models and 2D drawings
• Execute high-volume drawing revisions efficiently
• Manage revisions using PDM (SolidWorks PDM / EPDM)
• KPI (Key Performance Indicators): 6 - 10 drawing revisions per day per engineer (depending on complexity)
• -
• Backlog reduction target: 20 – 30% per month

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer technology, or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in CAD software
• Proficiency in SolidWorks (Drawing environment focused)
• Solid understanding of engineering principles, materials science, and manufacturing processes
• Experience updating existing engineering drawings
• Working knowledge of GD&T
• Experience with PDM systems (EPDM preferred)

Pay

• The expected hourly rate for this position in our California office is $27.50 - $30 per hour.

Schedule

• 6 – 12 month contract (eligible for extension)
