Job Summary
Computed Tomography Tech Night Shift/FRI-SUN NIGHTS 2000-0830
Must have experience with the GE EVO CT Unit
Alt specialty: Diagnostic Imaging
Responsibilities
- Perform computed tomography scans with adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Operate CT equipment, calibrate parameters, and optimize image quality for diagnoses.
- Adhere to safety standards and radiation protection guidelines for patients and staff.
- Prepare and position patients, explain procedures, and ensure comfort and safety.
- Collaborate with radiologists and clinical teams to interpret findings and plan next steps.
- Track performance metrics and pipelines to forecast workload and resource needs.
- Maintain CT room readiness, inventory, and routine maintenance of equipment.
- Document procedures, correlate with medical records, and ensure accurate reporting.
- Avoid and implement workflow improvements to increase imaging throughput and accuracy.
- Absorb and adhere to orders, verify patient identity, and follow established protocols for procedures.
- Identify opportunities to improve imaging workflows to increase throughput and accuracy.
- Absorb and assist with research or development projects to advance imaging techniques.
Requirements
- Certified CT technologist with ARRT credential or equivalent licensure.
- Proven ability to perform CT scans with attention to radiation safety and dose optimization.
- Proficient in operating CT equipment, parameter calibration, and protocol customization.
- Excellent patient prep, positioning, and communication to ensure comfort and compliance.
- Strong collaboration with radiologists and clinical teams for accurate interpretation and planning.
- Identify and implement workflow improvements to increase imaging throughput and accuracy.
- Experience in tracking KPIs and workload forecasting to optimize throughput.
- Maintain CT room readiness, perform routine maintenance, and manage inventory.
- Accurate documentation, correlating imaging with medical records and reporting results.

- Participation in research or development projects to advance imaging techniques.
