Computed Tomography (CT) Technician - Radiology

About the role

This role involves performing diagnostic medical imaging, including Cardiac CT and invasive procedures, under the supervision of radiologists and senior technologists.

Responsibilities

• Perform computed tomography examinations, ensuring quality images and accurate vein/site selection.
• Adhere to departmental policies, safety, infection control, and quality assurance standards.
• Maintain thorough documentation, operate hospital systems securely, and ensure patient confidentiality.
• Follow safety protocols, manage bio-hazardous waste, and promote a safe environment.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively, demonstrating professionalism, and respecting patient privacy.
• Participate in continuing education, team activities, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Offer age-appropriate and specialized patient care, including restraint and pain management when necessary.
• Collaborate with staff, respond promptly to requests, and foster teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; ARRT and BLS certifications required.
• Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, medical terminology, and imaging protocols.
• Ability to lift over 100 pounds, stand/walk long periods, and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Strong communication, professionalism, and adherence to safety standards.
