Role Overview

We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a Computational Biology Expert (PhD) to work on a contract basis. The role involves developing and implementing computational models to analyze biological data. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex problems in data-driven biology.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop computational frameworks to process large-scale biological datasets.
  • Apply machine learning techniques to model biological systems and predict outcomes.
  • Develop algorithms for genomic, proteomic, or other high-throughput biological data.
  • Interpret results and communicate findings to stakeholders in a clear, actionable manner.
  • Stay current with advancements in computational biology, bioinformatics, and related tools.

Qualifications

  • PhD in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, or related field with relevant research experience.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or C++ for data analysis and modeling.
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks and libraries, including TensorFlow or PyTorch.
  • Strong background in statistical analysis and experimental design for biological data.
  • Familiarity with tools like BLAST, Bowtie, or other bioinformatics software suites.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting while meeting project deadlines.

Pay

$40 - $60/hour
