About the role
California Institute of Applied Technology (CIAT) is growing and seeks educators and professionals with a passion for mentoring others. The position is non-exempt, part-time, and variable-hour. Responsibilities
- Teach synchronous online courses via Microsoft Teams on Monday and Tuesday every week
- Plan and organize instruction to maximize student learning and engagement
- Modify instructional methods and strategies to meet diverse student needs
- Communicate subject matter effectively to students
- Maintain compliance with accreditation and CIAT policies and procedures
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date student database information
- Provide documentation and submit required items for class
- Promote collaboration with other staff members and participate in new projects
- Adhere to CIAT’s business casual attire policy
- Submit official transcripts and certification for subject taught
- Have at least three years’ experience in the respective field or two years of teaching experience
- Have advanced subject matter expertise and a commitment to ongoing professional development
- Have effective presentation, communication, and technology skills
- Be proficient in MS Office applications and learning technologies
- Work independently with minimal supervision and multitask effectively
- Solve problems quickly and effectively
- Collaborate with colleagues, academic departments, and administration to support student success
- Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment
- Comply with all college policies, procedures, and regulations
Requirements
- Current certifications in subjects taught
- Mastery of subject matter
- Adherence to CIAT policies and procedures

Qualifications

Benefits
CIAT offers a competitive salary range of $40.00 - $45.00 hourly, DOE, with benefits commensurate with experience.
Pay
The starting salary range for the CompTIA Linux+ Adjunct Instructor position is $40.00 - $45.00 hourly/DOE.
Schedule
Days and hours of work are usually Monday through Friday, but weekend and evening hours may be required. Live classes are scheduled twice per week, on Monday and Tuesday from 6:00 pm to 9:30 pm (Pacific Time).
