Responsibilities
- Aid in the maintenance, inspection, and repair of compressor packages and associated equipment.
- Provide feedback on compressor package operation and performance.
- Plan, organize, and execute Preventive Maintenance (PMs) and other maintenance activities.
- Perform basic diagnostics and repair tasks on engines and compressor systems.
- Support troubleshooting activities, including electrical troubleshooting.
- Assist other mechanics and field locations as needed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Caterpillar engine experience (required).
- Waukesha engine experience (highly preferred).
- Ariel compressor experience (highly preferred).
- Preferably, OEM, trade school, or comparable work experience in a related field/industry.
- One year of compression process, production, and equipment-related experience and/or training.
- Basic knowledge of compressor packages, including some components and systems.
- Working knowledge of relevant safety procedures and regulations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Qualifications
- Some knowledge of gas processes and motor/compressor mechanics (e.g., Waukesha, Ariel, Caterpillar).
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Valid Driver’s License with Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) within acceptable policy parameters.

Physical Demands
- Requires operation of heavy equipment (crane, manlift).
- Stand up to 75% of the time; sit up to 25% of the time.
- Climb ladders/stairs for inspection and repair; maintain balance without assistance.
- Communicate and respond to personnel and emergency cues/alarms in person and by phone/mobile device.
- Frequently lift at least 10 pounds; infrequently lift more than 50 pounds.
- Work in high-noise environments (>85 dBA) with hearing protection.
- Potential controlled exposure to hazardous chemicals (cleaning solvent).
- Work outdoors in extreme heat and extreme cold.
- Move and work in varied positions (stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl), including tight and confined spaces.
- Must wear required PPE including fire-retardant clothing, hard hat, face shield, hearing protection, safety glasses, and steel-toed boots.
- Frequently type and use computer and office equipment (copier, printer, calendar, telephone).
Pay
- Level I - $38.93/hr
- Level II - $47.58/hr
