Compressor Station/ Facility Operator

About the role

The Compressor Station Operator is a multi-skilled position responsible for the operation and maintenance of gathering system compressor stations. Responsibilities include daily documentation, equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and emergency response.

Responsibilities

• Daily documentation of equipment, performing housekeeping, maximizing throughput
• Performing minor maintenance on engines, compressors, separators, generators, flares, dehy’s, VRU’s and coolers
• Coordinating and monitoring activities of contractor personnel assigned to the area
• Identifying and initiating emergency response procedures
• Completing and maintaining required reports and logs
• Maintaining equipment to maintain optimum availability and efficiency

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license and good driving record
• Gas or Diesel Mechanics certification preferred

Qualifications

• Knowledge of company, state, and federal regulatory requirements
• Ability to read, write, and speak English
• Understanding of OSHA, DOT regulations
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays

Skills and Abilities

• Customer service skills
• Computer skills, including vendor specific programs (Cat, Waukesha, Ariel, Murphy, etc.)
• Health, safety, and environmental procedures
• Good physical condition to perform heavy lifting and long shifts
