Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on compressors and other mechanical equipment.
- Conduct repairs and troubleshooting to fix any operational issues with compression equipment.
- Monitor compressor units for proper operation and performance.
- Adjust controls, settings, and configurations as needed to optimize performance and efficiency.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and implement solutions.
- Use testing equipment to analyze performance and detect issues.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities.
- Report on equipment conditions, work performed, and any parts or service needs.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines, including environmental protocols.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, regulations, and industry standards.
- Work closely with engineers, operators, and other technicians to resolve issues.
- Participate in team meetings and share insights for continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education/experience.
- An Associate’s Degree in mechanical or electrical technology may be preferred.
- Previous experience in equipment maintenance, mechanical work, or a similar field; experience with compression molding is beneficial.
- Excellent attendance.
- Prior experience operating all production machines in the department.
- Proven ability to monitor quality of machine output.
- Good housekeeping skills.
- Able to lift heavy equipment and work in various environments.
- Able to work in a production environment, recognizing various sounds and alarms.
- Able to work overtime as needed.
- Able to perform all duties in a safe and effective manner.
