Role Overview
The Compounding Technician II assists a licensed Pharmacist in preparing and dispensing medications in a clean room environment, ensuring accuracy and safety in compounding operations.
Responsibilities
- Assist with prescription preparation, processing, and quality inspection of compounded medications.
- Perform pharmaceutical calculations and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and calibration of pharmacy surfaces and equipment.
- Train and mentor lower-level technicians.
- Ensure proper documentation and equipment maintenance.
Qualifications & Skills
- High School Diploma or GED, with at least 2 years of pharmacy technician experience.
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) and licensure as required.
- Strong organizational, customer service, and basic Microsoft Office skills.
- Physical ability to stand, bend, reach, and lift up to 30 lbs.
- Preferred healthcare or pharmacy experience.
