Responsibilities

• Compounds (blends, mixes) raw materials and distributes to extrusion equipment areas
• Mix different raw materials together using scales, volumetric cylinders, tumblers, and other mixing equipment
• Legibly write on containers and perform record keeping
• Shake, roll, and mix containers as required
• Maintain a clean, neat workplace
• Observe all safety rules and regulations (Naphtha in area)
• Rotate with Jar Washing responsibilities

Physical demands

• Climate: Temperature range from 60 to 80 degrees Fahrenheit for sustained periods
• Lifting: Up to 70 pounds periodically to a height of 48 inches
• Use of pallet jack to move up to 1,500 pounds
• Roll cart with up to 50 pounds of weight as necessary
• Reaching: Up to a height of 72 inches for approximately 2-pound unit weight
• Normally no special clothing is required; however, at times, white laboratory coat/coveralls; gloves and masks may be required

Qualifications

• Ability to carry out oral and written instructions and adapt to different situations
• Physical condition demands the ability to lift, push, pull, and stand for sustained periods
• Must have basic mathematical skills and be able to read and write legibly
• Attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this position; any unscheduled absence or tardy will have a negative impact on our ability to meet production objectives
• Ability to work independently and desire to learn a variety of skills
• Ability to communicate clearly and manipulate data using various software packages
