Compound Mixing Operator — Line 4 Specialist

Join our operations team to help deliver consistent, high-quality thermoplastic compounds by mixing, charging, and packaging materials to exacting standards—every batch, every time.

Responsibilities

• Master the Line 4 Blending area and step into other production roles when needed.
• Before charging: verify TA item code numbers; confirm lot numbers and weights; clean and inspect the blender.
• Stage required raw materials and perform compound charges according to the production schedule.
• Follow the batch card to add all hand-add ingredients precisely.
• Record staged-material lot numbers on the batch card and document any departures from procedure; alert supervision.
• Coordinate with upstream/downstream operations to maintain throughput.
• Package to spec: pack, weigh, seal, and label as directed by customer instructions; generate, align, and affix labels properly.
• Flag any schedule or instruction concerns to the Bagger Leadman.
• Execute quick, clean, safe changeovers using required PPE; inform mill area operators when changeover is complete.
• Prepare packaging supplies for future shifts (Gaylords, Supersacks, etc.).
• Scan and enter finished products into the computer system.
• Maintain housekeeping standards; consistently wear PPE.
• Hit or surpass plant KPIs and participate in Lean Manufacturing initiatives.

Requirements

• Comfort reading and understanding English instructions; strong basic math.
• Ability to drive—or willingness to learn to drive—a forklift; use an electric hand truck.
