Composites Technician - SkillBridge

About the role

This opportunity is intended for active-duty military members eligible to participate in the DoW SkillBridge Program.

Responsibilities

• Manufacturing and assembling large to small scale components for our Lunar Lander vehicle within our AI&T team.
• Handling, cutting, and bonding various composite panels and laminates.
• Assembly of composite components into various sub-assemblies.
• Exposure to a wide range of hand tools and precision tools.

Requirements

• Demonstrate Mechanical aptitude
• Composite Experience
• Attention to Detail
• Able to work in a team environment
• Familiar with 3D CAD Software
• Understanding of engineer drawings (GD&T)
• Drilling, sanding, and cutting composite products
• Familiar with precision tools, hand tools, and power tools
• Familiar with supporting aircraft; flight hardware operations
• Motivated self-starter and willing to learn and develop
• Obtained Airframe and/or Powerplant license, but not required

Qualifications

• US Citizenship
• Standing for extended periods, walking, climbing, bending, reaching, and lifting or moving materials or equipment
• Employees may be required to lift and carry items weighing up to 40 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation
