Composites Technician

About the role

As a Composite Tech your primary focus will be manufacturing and assembling large‑to‑small scale components for our Lunar Lander vehicle within the Structures team. The role involves handling, cutting, and bonding various composite panels and laminates, assembling composite components into sub‑assemblies, and working with a wide range of hand and precision tools.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture and assemble large‑to‑small scale composite components for the Lunar Lander vehicle.
• Handle, cut, and bond composite panels and laminates.
• Assemble composite components into various sub‑assemblies.
• Utilize a wide range of hand tools, precision tools, and power tools.

Requirements

• Composite certification and/or at least 1 year of composite experience.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Desired Skills

• Broad composite fabrication experience.
• Familiarity with 3D CAD software.
• Understanding of engineering drawings, including GD&T.
• Experience with drilling, sanding, and cutting composite materials.
• Proficiency with precision, hand, and power tools.
• Motivated self‑starter, eager to learn and develop.
