About the Role
Responsible for fabricating, trimming, grinding, drilling, and sanding composite parts to precise specifications. Mixes and applies adhesives for bonding, inspects finished products, and supports safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Follow fabrication techniques, interpret manufacturing orders, and operate shop machinery.
- Handle composite materials, adhesives, and solvents safely and in accordance with quality systems.
- Support zero-defect focus and ensure products meet specifications.
- Assist in training and mentoring less experienced team members, especially at higher levels.
- Perform repairs, work from drawings or sketches, and fabricate prototype parts as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; hands-on experience in composite manufacturing.
- Progressively advanced skills in measuring, lamination, repairs, and interpreting industry specifications.
- Ability to operate tools, understand safety procedures, and adhere to quality standards.
- Strong attention to detail, good math skills, and effective communication.
- Physical ability to stand, sit, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in manufacturing environments.
