Job Responsibilities
- Receiving all blood collections in Component Lab
- Processing whole blood with inline filter or sterilely connected filter
- Obtaining QC samples from blood products
- Labeling Red Blood Cells, Apheresis, Platelets and Plasma products
- Performing equipment maintenance activities
- Following the laboratory's procedures for specimen handling and processing, test analyses, reporting, and maintaining records of patient test results
- Maintain records that demonstrate that proficiency testing samples are tested in the same manner as patient specimens
- Adhere to the laboratory's quality control policies, document all quality control activities, instrument and procedural calibrations and maintenance performed
- Identify problems that may adversely affect test performance or reporting of test results and either correct the problems or immediately notify the general supervisor
- Document all corrective actions taken when test systems deviate from the laboratory's established performance specifications
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to stand and walk most of the shift
- Lift 50lbs
- Hand/eye coordination, visual acuity
- Laboratory manufacturing experience using cGMP
Qualifications
- Preferred Bachelor’s or Associate degree

Pay
The hourly rate for this position is $19.80-$21.30/hr. (including applicable shift differentials)
Schedule
2nd Shift Tuesday - Thursday 200pm - 1030pm, Friday and Saturday 1100am - 730pm
